The San Bernardino County Library is hosting several Christmas-themed events, including fun-filled crafts, face painting, balloon artists, and a visit with Santa Claus.

Visitors should bring their library cards as every 15 items checked out during the events gives visitors an opportunity to draw a ticket to win prizes.

All activities are free and open to all ages and will take place at the following locations:

  • From 4 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 8 at the James S. Thalman Library, 14020 City Center Drive in Chino Hills.

  • From 4 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 13 at the Newton T. Bass Apple Valley Library at 14901 Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley.

Holiday Countdown

The SBC Library presents its Holiday Countdown with a cascade of rewards. From Dec. 1 through Dec. 30, people can earn a block character mini figure for every 30 items checked out.

The design of block characters varies per branch and while supplies last. This incentive reward will be available for a limited time only.

These events are part of the Countywide Vision’s literacy campaign, Vision2Read.

Please visit sbclib.org or contact your local branch library for more holiday events and additional information.
