San Mateo Co. COVID Testing Site To Serve Up To 2,000 Per Day

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — For those looking to get tested for COVID-19 in San Mateo County, they will soon be able to take advantage of a site in South San Francisco.

The new site will be able to serve up to 2,000 people per day. All California residents are welcome to visit the testing site and receive a free PCR test.

"I am thrilled that we have a mass testing site here in South San Francisco, in the heart of Downtown. Trying to find a PCR test lately has been incredibly difficult throughout the Bay Area, and I am ecstatic that our community will have access to these tests right in our own backyard" South San Francisco Mayor Mark Nagales said in a statement.

Beginning this week, the testing site will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 616 Linden Avenue.

Tests are given on a first come, first serve basis and results are expected within 24-48 hours from test administration.
