During her visit to Ukraine, Maia Sandu, the President of Moldova, once again has stated that Moldova was saved from occupation only thanks to the actions of the Ukrainian military.

Details: Sandu emphasised that she conveys gratitude to Ukraine from all citizens of Moldova.
"President Zelenskyy, I thank you on behalf of the people of Moldova for the huge sacrifice that your soldiers make on the battlefield, resisting Russian brutality, as well as for the sacrifice of all Ukrainians that they make so that their country is free and independent," she said to her Ukrainian counterpart.
Maia Sandu expressed confidence that Russia had plans to occupy Moldova.
"Without your resistance, our country would be the next to be occupied by Russia. The next, and probably not the last. By protecting Ukraine, you are also protecting Moldova," she emphasised.
Considering this, the president assured that Moldova will always be on Ukraine's side, including helping to preserve export routes. This statement was made against the background of the fact that in Poland, long-distance truck drivers blocked border checkpoints for Ukrainian freight transport, and on 21 November, the same thing happened in Slovakia.
"Our roads and railways will help Ukrainian goods reach export markets," Sandu stressed.
Maia Sandu is visiting Ukraine on Tuesday to discuss Ukraine's movement to the EU.
At the same time, Charles Michel, the President of the European Council, is also in Kyiv. He publicly explained why the EU summit in December should make a decision regarding Ukraine.
