Santa Clara County Reports 221 New Coronavirus Cases, 3 Deaths
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The Santa Clara County Public Health Department reported 221 additional coronavirus cases Wednesday.
The latest report brings the countywide COVID-19 case count to 15,085.
The county reported three additional coronavirus-related fatalities Wednesday, bringing its COVID-19 death toll at 216.
There were 166 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Santa Clara County as of Wednesday, of which 54 were being treated in intensive care units.

There have been 643,385 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 11,606 coronavirus-related deaths in California as of Wednesday afternoon according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
The United States had 5,523,826 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 172,945 coronavirus-related fatalities as of Wednesday afternoon.
There have been 22,252,446 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 783,825 deaths reported globally as of Wednesday afternoon.
