SANTA CRUZ, CA — The Santa Cruz Warriors are selling a limited edition t-shirt through May 29, with proceeds going toward local response efforts targeting the new coronavirus.

The $20 shirt, designed by Something Inked, includes the logo and says "Sea Dubs Together." Something Inked has agreed to cover all expenses associated with production, the Warriors said on its site.

Proceeds will be donated to the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County COVID-19 Local Response Fund, the Warriors said. So far the fund has given more than $4 million to local nonprofits and first responders since March 12.

“Santa Cruz County is a tight-knit community where we stay connected, we help each other, and we care about our neighbor," said Santa Cruz Warriors President Chris Murphy. "Sea Dubs Together is a way we can show unity as a community while raising money to help those in need.”

The Warriors has previously partnered with Togo's restaurants in Capitola, Scotts Valley and Watsonville to donate boxed lunches to Second Harvest Food Bank volunteers working during the pandemic, according to the team's site.

On March 12 the team announced it was suspending its season until further notice.
