Santa Fe Community College sets job fair for Nov. 2

Oct. 18—The Santa Fe Community College Career Fair returns in full force Nov. 2 with more than 20 employers offering more than 100 jobs.

The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Campus Center at SFCC, 6401 Richards Ave.

The SFCC career fair did not happen in 2020 because of the pandemic and was limited to students in 2021.

"We want to provide opportunities to our students, and we also want to open it to the public," said Sara Baca, career services coordinator at the college. "There's such a need for employees in Santa Fe across the board. What makes our career fair unique is the relationships we do have with employers. We get inquiries from employers looking for students."

The employers signed up include Kelly Cable of New Mexico, The Club at Las Campanas, Santa Fe County, Santa Fe Public Schools, Santa Maria El Mirador, Growing Up New Mexico, Walgreens, Youth Shelters and Family Services, the Bureau of Land Management, Del Norte Credit Union, LANL Student Programs Office, Jacobs Family Insurance, Christus St. Vincent, Bicycle Technologies International, Heritage Companies, Santa Fe County Detention, the city of Santa Fe, Montecito Santa Fe, Santa Fe Community College and Los Alamos National Laboratory.
