Santa, Mrs. Claus arrive in downtown Kent to spread Christmas cheer

Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived in downtown Kent on a train Saturday night to spread Christmas cheer and to help Mayor Jerry Fiala light the city's Christmas tree.

Theodore Roosevelt High School's ACEs choir opened the festival and entertained the crowd at the gazebo until Santa arrived. Once Santa arrived, he was taken by the Kent Fire Department to to the Kent State University Hotel where he visited with children.

After visiting with Santa, families were able to enjoy the new outdoor ice rink, where skating and skates are free.
