Santiago Vescovi out for Tennessee basketball vs. Alcorn State

Santiago Vescovi will not play for No. 13 Tennessee basketball against Alcorn State on Sunday because of a left shoulder sprain.

The Vols guard was hurt in the final minutes of UT's 76-40 win against McNeese State on Wednesday.

Vescovi pump-faked a 3-pointer, then stepped to the side and was clipped by the Cowboys' Christian Shumate. Vescovi tumbled to the court and grabbed his left shoulder. He stretched and moved his shoulder prior to shooting free throws.

The senior is averaging 12 points and 5.0 rebounds. He has a team-best 18 steals and is shooting 31.7% on 3-pointers.
