Sao Paulo state imposes new restrictions to contain coronavirus spread

SAO PAULO (Reuters) - Sao Paulo imposed on Friday new restrictions aimed to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus in Brazil's most populous state.

Restaurants, malls and non-essential service providers will be required to close at 8 p.m. between Monday and Friday, only opening again at 6 a.m.. On the weekends, they must remain closed, state officials said in a press conference on Friday.
