After over a year of social distancing, and with COVID-19 vaccines being distributed and restrictions being lifted across the country, it seems fair to say that people are ready for some summer fun. Fittingly, last month, husband-and-wife interior design pair Robert and Cortney Novogratz teamed up with Sarah Jessica Parker to release an outdoor furniture collection embodying just that.

The retro-inspired, pastel-hued capsule collection of umbrellas, lawn chairs, chaise lounges, and bar carts sold out quickly, but now the line is back in stock and available for purchase at shopnovogratz.com or at their newly-opened pop-up retail space, House of Novogratz, in Venice Beach, California. Each item is available in a light blue or pink, and the folding chairs also come in yellow. The umbrellas especially evoke a vintage sensibility, with stripes and a scalloped edge.

“This collaboration makes sense on so many levels because Sarah Jessica Parker and I share so many things! We are both West Villagers raising kids in NYC, we both love running a design business, and have discovered a similar sensibility in our design aesthetic and entrepreneurial spirit,” said Cortney of the collaboration, dubbed The Novogratz xo SJP Collection. “We are not afraid of color; we embrace and promote it in an energetic way.”

The Novogratz burst onto the scene with the Bravo reality show 9 by Design in 2010. Robert, Cortney, and their seven kids would later star in Home By Novogratz on HGTV, and the couple has also authored several books, including 2020's Design Fix.
