Sarah Palin: If You're in America, 'Speak American'

It's nice to know that Sarah Palin is still out there somewhere saying dumb stuff, but (at least at this point) is far from running for or holding any actual political office.

The former Alaska governor was on CNN this morning where she praised the benefit of Jeb Bush being fluent in Spanish, because it gives him a "great connection" with the U.S.'s "large and wonderful Hispanic population."

Then she immediately followed up with this gem:

"On the other hand, I think we can send a message and say, 'You want to be in America, A, you'd better be here legally or you're out of here. B, when you're here, let's speak American. ... Let's speak English, and that's a kind of a unifying aspect of the nation is the language that is understood by all."

Is someone going to explain to her that ... sigh ... never mind.
