Sarah Spain signs a multiyear contract extension with ESPN

Sarah Spain, a versatile award-winning ESPN columnist and host, has signed a multiyear contract extension with the sports media giant.

“Ten years and counting with ESPN, and excited to sign on for more,” Spain said in the announcement. “I love being a part of this team, especially the support and guidance I’ve received from amazing mentors and the friendships I’ve formed with brilliant, hilarious, talented colleagues. I love going to work every day and I never take it for granted.”

Spain, who started with ESPN as a news anchor for Chicago’s WMVP-AM 1000, will continue as a reporter and columnist on multiple platforms including espnW, as well a being regular contributor to “Around the Horn” and “Highly Questionable.”

Also ongoing will be her “That’s What She Said” podcast and national weeknight ESPN Radio show “Spain & Fitz.”
