Satellite images show the consequences of a large-scale strike on Nova Kakhovka

According to satellite images, on the night of 12 July, workshops of the "Ukrhydromekh" plant and another large hangar nearby were blown up in Nova Kakhovka.

Details: RFE/RL (Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty) compared satellite images from Planet.com of the vicinity of the Kakhovka HPP before and after the missile strike by the Ukrainian HIMARS surface-to-air missile.

The publication indicates that the workshops of the "Ukrhydromech" plant (upper-left part of the pictures) and a large hangar, identified by the Wikimapia.org service as motor vehicle enterprise 16507 (lower-right part of the pictures), were particularly damaged during the strike.

The market is located between them.

 
 

Background: Late in the evening of 11 July, Ukraine struck ammunition warehouses in occupied Nova Kakhovka. Witnesses published photos and videos of large-scale explosions in the city.
