Saturday’s college football games on television and streaming (Oct. 7)

It’s not often we get Kentucky and Louisville involved in dueling, featured prime-time college football games, but that will be the case on Saturday.

At 7 p.m. on ESPN, No. 20-ranked Kentucky will take on No. 1-ranked Georgia in Athens. Both teams are 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the SEC. UK has lost 13 straight games to the Bulldogs. And the current Bulldogs are on a 22-game winning streak.

At 7:30 p.m. on ABC, No. 25 Louisville will play host to No. 10 Notre Dame. New U of L coach Jeff Brohm has the Cardinals off to a 5-0 start. Notre Dame is 5-1. The one blemish was its 17-14 home loss to Ohio State in which the Buckeyes scored on the game’s final play, when the Irish had but 10 players on the field.

Sean McDonough, Greg McElroy and Molly McGrath will be on the call for UK-Georgia. Joe Tessitore, Jordan Rodgers and Katie George have the U of L-Notre Dame clash.

As for other matchups between ranked teams, No. 12 Oklahoma plays No. 3 Texas in the Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. ABC has the 12 p.m. kickoff. Both teams are 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Big 12 in their final season in that conference before moving to the SEC.

No. 23 LSU is at No. 21 Missouri at 12 p.m. on ESPN. LSU is treating the burns from its 55-49 loss at Ole Miss last Saturday. Brian Kelly’s club is 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the SEC. Missouri is off to a 5-0 start, including 1-0 in conference play.

Another interesting matchup has unbeaten Maryland at No. 4-ranked Ohio State at 12 p.m. on Fox. Maryland has won each of its five games by 18 points or more. The Terps tattooed Indiana 44-17 last week. Ohio State was off last Saturday after its big win in South Bend.

And keep an eye on No. 11 Alabama at Texas A&M at 3:30 p.m. on CBS. Both teams are 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the SEC. Alabama whipped Mississippi State 40-17 last week in Starkville. Texas A&M defeated Arkansas 34-22 in Dallas.
