Jun. 24—HUDSON — Tonight (Saturday, June 25) is the last night to catch the play "Welcome to Mitford."

The play is Bob Inman's interpretation of New York Times best-selling author Jan Karon's "Welcome to Mitford" novel series.

"I am very honored to have been selected to take Jan Karon's novels and realize them into a full stage play. Any playwright is interested to see how a theater company interprets his work on stage," said Inman. "Keith Smith and the fine folks of Hudson have done a first rate job interpreting this show. It is one of the finest productions I've seen of my script."

Karon's series unfolds the story of Father Tim Kavanagh and the fine folks of Mitford. The play will be presented at the HUB Station Auditorium located at 145 Cedar Valley Rd. in Hudson on Saturday, June 25. The show will start at 7 p.m. and will begin with the 36-voice Mitford Choir.

"It has been an honor to be entrusted to visualize the work of Jan Karon and Bob Inman. Jan and I have become friends. She is a true Southern lady. Bob Inman is as substantive and down-to-earth a man as one will ever meet, a true gentleman," said Keith Smith, production, town of Hudson. "I hope that people realize how special it is to have the Mitford Museum here in Hudson, and the approval and endorsement of Ms. Karon and Mr. Inman."

Tickets for the show are $25 and may be obtained by going to the town of Hudson, by visiting the HUB Station website and following the link to tix.com, by calling the box office at (828) 726-8871, or by stopping by the box office at the HUB.

A ticket purchase includes $5 off the cost of admission to the Mitford Museum. The Mitford Museum will be open each night until showtime (7 p.m.).
