Saturday on Pickwick, celebrate annual Pickwick Street Fair, Culture Flock's grand opening

Pickwick Place will be a bustling spot this weekend, with the Pickwick Street Fair and grand opening of Culture Flock in its new location.

The third annual Pickwick Street Fair is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Culture Flock is celebrating its grand re-opening in the Rountree neighborhood from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The street fair will be located on Pickwick Avenue, starting at the intersection of Cherry Street and proceeding south in front of the storefronts. Nearly 60 vendors are scheduled to participate, featuring products from handcrafted pottery and stained glass to house plants and art supplies.

In addition to vendors lining Pickwick Avenue, a handful of local musicians will be providing entertainment throughout the day. The lineup includes Shaun Munday at 10:30 a.m., Drew Beine at 12:20 p.m., Abby Waterworth and Josh Gilbert at 2:10 p.m. and Kristi Merideth and Randy Buckner at 4 p.m.

The street fair is a rain or shine event. Street parking will be available throughout the Rountree neighborhood.

Culture Flock's grand opening coincides with the shop's 10th anniversary.

“The neighborhood has already been so welcoming; we’re so excited to be a big part of this tight-knit community,” said Summer Trottier, marketing and logistics director and co-owner, in a news release. Culture Flock is moving into the space that formerly housed Culture Counter.

Culture Flock offers locally crafted and sourced clothing, accessories and gifts. In addition to these local products, the shop also offers merchandise from brands like BAGGU, Seltzer Goods and Stay Home Club.

Culture Flock was initially established as an e-commerce shop in 2013 before opening in the Galloway neighborhood five years ago. This location closed in May in preparation for the transition.
