Lee County, joined by state and federal partners, will begin opening Points of Distribution Saturday for hurricane-impacted residents who need food and water.

On Sunday afternoon, the Courtesy Court Motel will be serving hot meals at 4 p.m. at 1389 N Tamiami Trail 33903. For anyone wanting help volunteer and pass out meals, motel officials ask you to come at 3:30 p.m.

The Fort Myers brewery is offering cold beer and free water (while supplies last). They posted this message early Sunday afternoon: "Hey guys! We survived the storm. Planet Fitness opens door for residents to use amenities

Planet Fitness officials announced Saturday that anyone impacted by Hurricane Ian can use their locations free of charge for amenities, such as showers, locker rooms and additional health and fitness facilities (no membership needed), at more than 80 of its Florida and Georgia clubs that have reopened for business.

"Planet Fitness is committed to helping the communities it serves, including offering showers and gym benefits to those displaced in areas of Florida and Georgia from Hurricane Ian," Planet Fitness officials said within a press release Saturday.

Starting Saturday through Oct. 9, these Lee and Collier County locations are available:
