BASEBALL

Notre Dame 2-5, Pulaski 0-6

PULASKI - In the first game, Donatello Badalamenti pitched a complete game, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out six in the Tritons’ win over the Red Raiders.

Micah Marzec drove in both runs for Notre Dame with a double in the first inning.

Michael Molthen took the loss for Pulaski. He allowed two runs on one hit but walked eight while striking out seven.

In the second game, Pulaski led 3-1 heading into the seventh inning but gave up two runs to send the game into extra innings where Notre Dame and the Red Raiders both scored twice in the eighth before Pulaski scored the winning run with two outs in the ninth inning.

Brayden Otto had two hits and two RBIs for Pulaski. Bryce Wotruba and Molthen each had doubles for Pulaski.

Badalamenti had two hits and two RBIs for Notre Dame. Christian Collins and Avery Duncan also had two hits. Duncan’s hits were a double and a triple. Brady LaViolette also had a double.

Lincoln Simons pitched the final three innings to get the win for Pulaski.

Aaron Heyroth took the loss for Notre Dame.

De Pere 11-12, Green Bay Preble 0-7

GREEN BAY - The Redbirds won both games against the Hornets, scoring in double digits in both games.

De Pere’s Casey Trousil threw four innings, allowing one hit with two strikeouts in the first game. Ryan Karbon pitched a scoreless fifth inning.

Easton Arendt had three hits, including a triple, three stolen bases and an RBI in the first game. Javin Gauthier had three hits with two triples and four RBIs. Bryan Gerbers and Carter Polfuss both had two hits.

In the second game, Landon Raygo had two hits, including a three-run home run in the third inning and a grand slam in the fourth to finish with seven RBIs. Milo Upton also had a home run for De Pere. Axel Donaldson, Arendt, Gauthier and Gerbers each had 2 hits.

Lucas Koskey got the win for De Pere in the second game, allowing two runs over the final 3⅔ innings.

St. Mary Catholic 6, Winneconne 5

WINNECONNE - The Zephyrs scored four runs in the third inning and led 5-0 in the fifth, then held off a rally by the Wolves for the nonconference win.

Colin Nigl had three hits and drove in four runs for SMC. Owen Ripley added three hits, including a double. Joseph Pirillo had a double and drove in two runs.

Fisher Mackenzie got the win for the Zephyrs. He pitched 6⅔ innings, gave up seven hits, five runs and struck out five. Pirillo recorded the final out.

Jeremiah Jahnke had a double and drove in two runs for Winneconne.

Two Rivers 7, Plymouth 2

PLYMOUTH - The Purple Raiders’ Damien Gretz and Alex Johnson both had two hits to lead Two Rivers to the win over the Panthers.

Evander Popp pitched 3⅔ innings for Two Rivers. He allowed two unearned runs. Gretz pitched 3⅓ scoreless innings.

Oconto 10-18, Sturgeon Bay 3-3

OCONTO - The Blue Devils swept the doubleheader from the Clippers.

With the two wins, Oconto improves to 5-0. It has outscored opponents in those five games 56-27.

Sturgeon Bay’s record is now 1-2.

Abbotsford/Colby 13, Auburndale 3

AUBURNDALE - Abbotsford/Colby scored in all but the second inning in its win over the Eagles.

Blake Bargender had three hits and three RBIs for Abbotsford/Colby. Carlos Lara had a home run and three RBIs, and JV Castillo had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs. He also scored three times.

Evan Reis and Payton Schreiber also had home runs for Abbotsford/Colby.

Auburndale, which had six hits, got doubles from Aden Cherney and Blake Raab.

Castillo got the win for Abbotsford/Colby. Sloan Welch took the loss for Auburndale.

Crivitz 13-23, St. Thomas Aquinas 0-0

MARINETTE - Tegan Werner pitched a five-inning no-hitter to lead the Wolverines to the win in the first game of the doubleheader

Werner walked one and struck out eight.

Kenny Andrekopoulos had three hits, including a triple, scored twice and drove in two runs for Crivitz. Caleb McCullough, Logan Goltz and Logan Marvin also drove in two runs. McCullough also had two hits.

Henry Piasecki took the loss for St. Thomas Aquinas.

In the second game, Crivitz scored nine runs in the second inning and eight in the third inning.

Marvin and Seth Sellen both drove in three runs. Colten Tarmann, McCullough, Jackson Schramm and Brady Tadisch each drove in two runs. Sellen, Tadisch and Schramm each had doubles. Sellen also had a home run.

JJ Brand got the win for Crivitz.

Dominic Tanguay took the loss for St. Thomas Aquinas.

Boyceville 13, Mishicot 12

MAUSTON - Boyceville scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to force extra innings, then won the game with two runs in the bottom of the eighth after Reedsville had scored once in the top of the inning.

Reedsville finished with 11 hits, including two each by Kaden Kowalski, Wyatt Arkens and Evan Stoker. Arkens, Ethan Gnadt and Will Garceau each drove in two runs. Gnadt hit a triple.

Nick Olson and Paul Kurschner each had two hits and four RBIs for Boyceville.

Gibraltar/Washington Island 10-13, Sevastopol 2-1

STURGEON BAY - The Vikings scored five runs in the first inning and cruised to the victory in the first game of their doubleheader sweep.

Hayden Reetz had three hits, including a triple, and scored two runs. Rylan Caldecott had two doubles, Will Friedenfels also had two hits, and Bennett Isaacson drove in three runs.

Noah Greene pitched five innings for the win. He allowed three hits, two runs (one earned) and struck out seven.

The Vikings scored seven runs in the second inning in the second game, a five-inning victory.

Aaron Brey had two hits and drove in four runs. Caldecott also had two hits, two RBIs and scored three runs. Friedenfels and Isaacson also drove in two runs.

Isaacson pitched four innings for the win. He gave up three hits, one run and struck out five.

Darlington 17-10, Pittsville 14-7

DARLINGTON - The Panthers lost 17-14 in the first game of the doubleheader, in which Pittsville scored 11 runs in the sixth inning and Darlington scored nine runs in the sixth.

Will Grimm had three hits, including a home run, and drove in six runs. Dawson Luther added three hits, and Evan Haley had two hits, a home run and two RBIs. Sam Bowden also had two hits, including a double, and three RBIs.

Haley had three hits and two RBIs in the second game, a 10-7 loss for Pittsville. Luther had a home run, a double and drove in two runs, and Brad Neve had two hits.

SOFTBALL

Iola-Scandinavia 9-5, St. Mary Catholic 4-6

FOX CROSSING - The teams split the doubleheader, with Iola-Scandinavia winning 9-4 in the first game and St. Mary Catholic winning the nightcap 6-5.

The Zephyrs had nine hits in the first game, including two each by Chloe Vogel and Emily Vogel.

Rhiannon Reichenbacher pitched the first game for SMC. She allowed 10 hits, six earned runs and struck out three in seven innings.

The Zephyrs banged 13 hits in the second game, including three by Adel Schneider. Reichenbacher, Chloe Vogel, Emily Vogel and Sammi Weiss each had two hits. Emily Vogel had a triple and two RBIs. Schneider scored two runs.

Nevaeh Saringer was the winning pitcher. She allowed 12 hits, four earned runs and struck out five in the complete game.

Sevastopol 18-25, Gibraltar 0-0

STURGEON BAY - The Pioneers did not allow a hit in either three-inning game in the Packerland Conference doubleheader sweep.

Addison Schauske pitched the first game and struck out six batters. Libby Ash pitched the second game and struck out four.

Bailey Rikkola had two hits, two RBIs and scored three runs in the first game. Naomi Rikkola had a home run and drove in three runs, and Claire Haberli had a double and three RBIs. Johanna Andreae had a double and Sienna Cain hit a triple.

Sevastopol had 18 hits in the second game. Haberli had three hits, including two doubles, drove in four runs and scored four runs. Bailey Rikkola had three hits, including two doubles, scored four runs and drove in two. Naomi Rikkola added two hits and four runs scored, Jolene Luedtke had two hits and three runs scored, and Schauske had two hits and scored twice.

Edgar 9, Marathon 3

EDGAR - Maycie Yonker and Makayla Wirkus hit home runs for the Wildcats in the victory.

Wirkus finished with three hits, including a double, and scored three runs. Riley Mueller also had three hits, including a triple, and three RBIs for Edgar.

Wirkus pitched a complete game for the win. She allowed five hits, two earned runs and struck out 16.

Wausau East 4, Edgar 0

EDGAR - The Wildcats were held to six hits in the loss to the Lumberjacks.

Emily Borchardt hit a double for Edgar.

Morgan Streveler pitched a complete game for Edgar. She allowed seven hits, four earned runs and struck out five.

Wausau East 10, Marathon 6

EDGAR - Tristan Young had three hits, scored four runs and drove in a run for the Lumberjacks in the victory.

Young was also the winning pitcher, striking out eight batters.

Kali Prihoda had two hits and scored two runs for Marathon.

Oconto 18-9, Sturgeon Bay 7-3

OCONTO - The Blue Devils scored 15 runs in the final two innings to defeat the Clippers in the first game of the doubleheader.

Addisyn Viestenz and Lauren McDowell both scored three runs while Alyse Viestenz, Kadynn Bostwick, Kelly Vizer, Savannah Brill and Natalie Schlueter each scored twice.

In the second game, Oconto took a 4-3 lead on a pair of runs in the fourth inning and then broke open the game with five runs in the seventh inning.

Vizer, Jaelin Kumhala, Addisyn Viestenz and Bostwick each scored twice for Oconto.

Caprice Carbajal had three hits, including a double, for Sturgeon Bay.

Denmark 2-14, Fox Valley Lutheran 1-0 (Friday)

DENMARK - The Vikings’ Audrey Baugnet drove in the winning run in the fifth inning with a groundball out to lift Denmark to the win over the Foxes in the first game of the doubleheader.

Olivia Ullman had two hits for Denmark.

Brooklyn Blob allowed two runs on six hits in six innings and took the loss for Fox Valley Lutheran.

In the second game, Ullman went 4-for-5 to lead Denmark to the win.

Maggie Frank got the win for Denmark, allowing no hits and striking out 12 in the six-inning game.

Blob took the loss for Fox Valley Lutheran.

Kimberly 11, Appleton East 3 (Friday)

APPLETON - The Papermakers had 17 hits in the victory over the Patriots.

Jayda Nelson was 4-for-5, Sophie Girard and Aleigh Buss were each 3-for-4, and Lydia Stunpf was 3-for-5 for Kimberly. Girard scored four runs and Nelson scored three.

Buss pitched a complete game, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out four.

GIRLS SOCCER

Kimberly 1, Whitefish Bay 0

WHITEFISH BAY - Emily McCarthy scored a goal in the first half with an assist from Senah Hanes and the Papermakers held on for the nonconference win.

The win improves Kimberly’s record to 5-0.

St. Mary Catholic 3, Wrightstown 2

FOX CROSSING - Audrey Wanless, with an assist from Madeline Mittelstaedt, scored with under two minutes left from 25 yards out to give the Zephyrs the win over the Tigers.

The Zephyrs had taken a 2-0 lead in the first half on goals by Stella Virlee and Wanless, with Wanless assisting on the Virlee goal.

Wrightstown came back to tie the match on goals from Zoe Bratz and Tara Theunis. Grace Peters assisted on both goals.
