Kaukauna Cheesehead Invitational

KAUKAUNA - Kaukauna turned in an excellent performance at its own invitational, finishing fourth with 452 points.

Simley won the invitational with 509 points.

Marshfield finished 13th with 247 points while Freedom took 16th place with 216.5 points. Wrightstown took 32nd place with 104 points.

The Ghosts’ Greyson Clark was the only local wrestler to bring home a title. Clark finished in first at 138 pounds, defeating Brandon Cannon of Ponderosa 4-3 in the championship match.

Other top Kaukauna finishers included Lucas Peters fourth at 126, Bryan Winans taking second at 132 and Drew Wendzicki taking sixth at 182 pounds.

Freedom’s Nathan VandeHey took third at 145 pounds. Teammate Tucker Brockman took fourth at 182 pounds.

Marshfield’s Hoyt Blaskowski took fourth at 145 pounds.

Nick Alexander of Wrightstown took second at 152 pounds, falling 10-3 to Aaron Stewart of Warren Township in the championship match.

ASHWAUBENON - The Tritons outshot the Jaguars 31-8 in the shutout victory.

Anton Widas had eight saves in goal for Notre Dame. Lincoln Simons had 26 saves for Ashwaubenon.

FOND DU LAC - Talan Blanck scored twice in the first period to put the Ledgers ahead to stay in their win over the Hilltoppers.

Isaac Sabel, Connor Schramm, Gabe Braun and Cole Rottman added second-period goals for St. Mary’s Springs, with Schramm adding a goal in the third period.

Blanck and Austin Westergaard both had three assists and Braun had two assists for the Ledgers.

Raelee Meissner had 30 saves for Wisconsin Valley Union. Leia Schaefer had 18 saves for University School.
