“Despite what the scoreboard says, I don’t think any of our guys gave up,” Stratford coach Adam Davison said. “Shoutout to the Fennimore fans, they traveled and they were loud and they were into it and they were hostile. Our guys didn’t shy away from that, they didn’t come out and fall flat when they wrestled, we just ran into a team today that was significantly better than us. There’s no shame in that.

“We kind of knew coming in that matchup-wise, it wasn’t a team we’re like, ‘Oh, that’s going to be a fun dual.’ But wanted to work hard and we did that. I’m proud of what this team did and moving forward, bright days are still to come. We were one of the last four teams in D3 and that’s an honor no matter how you look at it.”
