St. Mary's Springs 35, Lomira 7

LOMIRA - Bob Hyland picked up his 500th victory – only the fourth high school coach in United States history to do so – in the Ledgers' victory over the Lions.

Cullen King was 9-of-10 passing for 157 yards and also had a 37-yard touchdown pass to Lucas Rameker, who had four catches for 87 yards.

Rameker also had a blocked punt that Sam Lucas returned 3 yards for a touchdown. Lucas added a 65-yard interception return for a score.

Jacob Holmes and Levi Huempfner also each had 5-yard touchdown runs for Springs (8-0, 6-0 Flyway).

Turner Wagoner had Lomira's lone touchdown.

Omro 30, Winnebago Lutheran 14

FOND DU LAC - Omro kept its playoff hopes alive with the win over the Vikings.

Foxes quarterback Cole Henke had three long touchdown runs, scoring on jaunts of 64, 63 and 53 yards.

Denver Treleven added touchdown runs of 77 yards and 11 yards for Omro (3-5 overall, 3-3 Flyway). Omro can automatically qualify for the postseason with a win over Laconia on Friday at Drobnick Field.

Sam Loehr and Noah Gensler teamed up for WLA’s two scores, on touchdown passes of 11 and 7 yards.

Marinette 22, Oconto 14

MARINETTE - The Marines’ Logan Paris scored on a 1-yard run and added the 2-point conversion in overtime to give Marinette the win over the Blue Devils on Friday.

After a scoreless first half, Marinette got two touchdown runs from Paris in third quarter. They were runs of 7 and 21 yards.

Oconto countered those scores with 40- and 14-yard touchdown passes in the third quarter.

Paris led Marinette with 170 yards rushing on 27 carries. Ethan Doubek and Eric Anthony added 47 and 35 yards rushing, respectively.

Marinette finished with 301 yards of offense (265 rushing) while Oconto had 229 yards of offense (147 passing).

Oostburg 50, Manitowoc Lutheran 22

MANITOWOC - The Flying Dutchmen improved to 5-3 with the win over the Lancers on Friday.

Oostburg, which led 35-0 at halftime, rushed for 424 yards, including 119 yards and two touchdowns by Landon Holschbach. Six players finished with 42 or more yards rushing for Oostburg.

Brayden Bennett led Manitowoc Lutheran with 117 yards passing, completing 11-of-18. Caleb Ulhorn added 70 yards rushing. Kaden Hagenow caught four passes for 62 yards.

BOYS SOCCER

De Pere 7, Seymour 0

DE PERE - The Redbirds grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute on a goal by Henry Picard and went on to defeat the Thunder.

De Pere’s goals were scored by Picard, Gavin Brault, James Dorchester, Derrek Valenzuela, Howard Tollefson, Jackson Decleene and Jack Peltier.

Peltier had two assists for De Pere, while Owen Fawcett, Valenzuela, Dorchester, Joel Rosner and Charlie Tollefson each had an assist.

Brayden Coyle and Logan Nycz both had two saves in goal for De Pere.

Fox Valley Lutheran 1, Manitowoc 0

MANITOWOC - The Foxes scored on a penalty kick early in the second half and went on to defeat the Ships.

Fox Valley Lutheran improves to 12-3-1 with the victory. Manitowoc falls to 1-18-1.

Gresham tournament

GRESHAM - NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy went 2-0 in the tournament, beating Northland Lutheran 6-0 and Gibraltar/Sevastopol 2-0.

In the game against Northland Lutheran, Elijah Meerstein scored twice and Thibaut Delattre, Monty Gungor, James Staudinger and Caden Landes each scored a goal.

Kenji Lange had two assists, with Delattre and Jack Henschel both having an assist.

Dylan Habermeyer and Henschel split time in goal with Habermeyer having no saves and Henschel two.

Against Gibraltar/Sevastopol, the Blazers scored both goals in the first half.

Delattre and Meerstein scored for NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy with Henschel notching three saves.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

New Berlin Round Robin

NEW BERLIN - Appleton North finished 4-0, beating Nicolet (25-17, 25-17), Kenosha Indian Trail (25-22, 25-18), Union Grove (25-20, 25-18) and Waukesha Fusion (25-20, 25-8).

Connor Cantrell had 69 assists and eight kills to pace the Lightning. Alex Ramus had 29 digs with Ben Griffith adding 11 digs. Jadon Ciriacks had 18 kills with Grant Hardy (15), Gavin Tate (15), Bennett Kornaus (11) and Trey Truettner (10) also reaching double-digits.

Arrowhead Invitational

HARTLAND - Kaukauna went 1-3 at the invitational, splitting its pool play matches and dropping both playoff matches.

The Ghosts beat Madison East 25-9, 25-13 and lost to Sussex Hamilton 7-25, 15-25 in pool play. In the playoffs, Kaukauna lost to Waukesha West 25-22, 19-25, 9-15 and lost to Arrowhead 26-24, 21-25, 8-15.

Kaukauna was led by Mason Tienor with 20 kills. Jack Van Epern and Zach Voet added 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Van Epern also had 12 aces.

Jacob Acord led Kaukauna with 39 assists. Jade Breckheimer had 23 digs while Tienor had 12. Tienor and Brady Meyer shared the team lead in blocks with six.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

De Pere Tournament

DE PERE - Luxemburg-Casco finished 5-0 to win the eight-team invite. The Spartans beat De Pere (25-15, 25-10), West De Pere (25-13, 25-11) and Fond du Lac (28-26, 25-21) in pool play before beating Pulaski (25-17, 25-11).

Luxemburg-Casco then beat De Pere in the championship match 25-20, 25-16.

Alayna Deprez had 73 assists and 25 digs, with Kylie Hanson adding 32 kills, 23 digs and three aces. Autumn Flynn also had 29 kills, six blocks and six aces with Campbell Onell chipping in 20 kills and eight blocks. Brooke VandeHei also had 45 digs and 10 aces.

“It’s that time of the year where you are trying to stack success and keep building,” Luxemburg-Casco coach Jeff Frey said. “We played well today and did a lot of really good things.”

Pulaski finished fourth at the tournament, defeating Little Chute (25-21, 25-18) and dropping matches to Kaukauna (25-16, 25-17), Luxemburg-Casco and Kaukauna (25-19, 25-21).

Lauren Kellner led Pulaski in kills with 22, with Alexia Thibodeau (19) and Emily Bruss (18) also among the team leaders. Bruss also had 61 assists and 29 digs. Hailey Wiedeman also had 39 digs, with Thibodeau adding 23.

Oconto Falls Invitational

OCONTO FALLS - NEW Lutheran finished 2-3 overall and in fourth place at the invitational.

In pool play, the Blazers defeated Chilton 25-6, 25-12 and Menasha 25-17, 25-20 while losing to Oconto Falls 18-25, 19-25. In bracket play, NEW Lutheran lost to Freedom 16-25, 15-25 and Peshtigo 25-17, 14-25, 10-15.

Greta Wise led NEW Lutheran with 49 kills and 58 digs. Abby Kirchner had 76 assists, 26 digs and 11 aces. Emma Laatsch had 29 digs and 20 kills. Adie Yunk had 26 digs Lexie Meerstein had 13 kills.

Great Northern Conference tournament

RHINELANDER - Mosinee went 2-1 in the conference meet to improve to 9-2 overall in the Great Northern Conference and 21-10 overall.

Mosinee defeated Medford 25-12, 22-25, 25-23, 25-17; lost to Tomahawk 19-25, 12-25, 18-25 and beat Rhinelander 25-9, 25-21, 25-19.

MaKayla Weisner led Mosinee with 33 kills. Maggie Woller, Tristina Wicklund, Malina Carattini and Alexis Jonas had 21, 18, 16 and 13 kills, respectively. Jonas led the team with 80 assists. Addison Vaughn had a team-leading 37 digs for Mosinee. Wicklund had 29 digs, while Amber Gonzalez added 24 digs. Weisner and Jones both had 13 digs.

Trailways Conference tournament

WAUPUN - Central Wisconsin Christian went 1-2 in the Trailways Conference tournament, defeating Williams Bay before losing to Randolph and Markesan.

Central Wisconsin Christian is now 21-7.

Elise Ritzema led Central Wisconsin Christian with 18 kills. Ada Smies had 16 kills and Tabitha Buwalda had 11 kills.

Kaitlyn Vander Werff was the leader in assists with 39, while Erin Ruis had 45 digs. Avery Slings and Vander Werff added 19 and 13 digs, respectively.
