Saturday's Top Prep Performers from basketball, soccer and wrestling

Highlights from Saturday in high school sports:

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • Dominik Contreras finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds, Marcos Ramirez hit five 3-pointers for 15 points, Reese Widerburg scored 13 points, and Bobby Barajas had five points, seven assists and four steals to lead unbeaten Oxnard (11-0) to a 70-40 win over Alemany at the Cal Lutheran University High School Shootout.

  • Travis Valenzuela had 15 points and nine rebounds, Joshua Woodworth and Caleb Sebek each scored eight points, Jon Gurrola had seven points, and Finn Fancher added six points to lead Ventura (5-7) to a 50-43 win over Cleveland at the Cal Lutheran University High School Shootout.

  • Luke Ortiz had 19 points and three blocks, Zane Carter finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, Daniel Ortiz scored eight points, and Colin Guenther had six points and five assists to lead Buena (8-2) to a 64-41 win over La Canada at the Cal Lutheran University High School Shootout.

  • Isaiah Sherrard finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks, Trey McDonald had 12 points, 11 assists and three steals, and Steven Melina scored 11 points as Oak Park (8-4) rallied from a 15-point halftime deficit to defeat Crespi 52-47 at the Cal Lutheran University High School Shootout.

  • Cooper Lucas scored 29 points, Charlie Muir had 17 points and Noah Cotton had 12 points to lead Newbury Park (11-1) to a 73-64 victory over Canyon at the Cal Lutheran University High School Shootout.

  • Gavin Murphy finished with 22 points and eight assists, Tidiane Sy scored 12 points, and Peter Gray had 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead Calabasas (10-2) to a 65-41 win over Summit at the Cal Lutheran University High School Shootout.

  • Dylan Benner had 20 points and 15 rebounds and Dony Clark had 10 points and six rebounds as St. Bonaventure (7-4) cut a 16-point deficit in the fourth quarter to just five before losing 55-47 to Chaminade at the Cal Lutheran University High School Shootout.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Lola Donez scored 14 points, Omamoke Okah had 10 points and Faith O’Daniel added six points for Oaks Christian (6-4) in its 48-38 loss to Marlborough in a nonleague game.

BOYS SOCCER

  • Michael Sauceda scored two goals, Bryant Martinez converted a penalty kick, and Andy Martinez and Daniel Sanchez had assists to lead Pacifica (8-1-0, 4-1-0) to a 3-2 win over Dos Pueblos in a Channel League match.

  • Ulises Morales, Christian Escarcega and Ruben Martinez scored goals, Adrian Docen had an assist, and Anthony Velasquez posted the shutout in net to lead unbeaten Oxnard (7-0-3, 5-0-0) to a 3-0 victory over Buena in a Channel League match.

  • Henry Rose, Kanan Welch and Francisco Ramirez scored goals to lead Ventura (5-3-0, 2-3-0) to a 3-1 win over Rio Mesa in a Channel League match.

  • Miles Johnson and Charles Chowana scored goals and Jason Moore had an assist as host Oak Park defeated Hesperia in a rematch of last year’s “SnowClasico” playoff game.

GIRLS SOCCER

  • Abby Wood netted five goals, Tat Padilla had a goal and two assists, and Amalia Nolan finished with three assists to lead Buena (4-3-0, 3-2-0) to a 6-0 victory over Oxnard in a Channel League match.

  • Pacifica (5-2-0, 3-2-0) defeated Dos Pueblos 6-0 in a Channel League match.

  • Annabelle York scored two goals, Siena Meyer had a goal and an assist, Skylar Turnbull had a goal, and Quinn Henderson had an assist to lead Newbury Park to a 4-2 victory over Warren in its second match at the Best of the West Tournament. Maya Scoralle scored a goal in the Panthers' 2-1 loss to La Habra in a game earlier in the day.

BOYS WRESTLING

  • Matt Hernandez and Anthony Garcia each went undefeated to win their weight classes, John Kuske and Ed Cruz each went 8-1 to win finish third, and David Perez was fourth as Rio Mesa finished first as a team at the Channel Islands Rotational. Juan Bedia finished second in his weight class and Nathaniel Dominguez, Agustin Navarrete and Angel Brito each took third as Pacifica placed fourth.

  • Brett Williamson and Logan Andrews won their respective weight classes, Emmanuel Coons finished second and Chris Ramirez was third as Moorpark placed fourth at the Bishop Amat Rumble.

  • Joshua Requena (126 pounds) finished fourth, Daniel Gurovich (195) took fifth and Emilio Medina (132) was sixth as Camarillo placed ninth in the Zinkin Classic at Buchanan High.

  • Robert Svitek (195) finished second, Tanner Cardenas (160) was third, Jackson Riggio (106) took fourth and Will Ramos (138) was fifth for Thousand Oaks in the Raul Huerta Invitational at Canyon Springs.

GIRLS WRESTLING

  • Talia Smith (111) placed fourth and Aubrey Sedeno (101) was eighth for Thousand Oaks at the Millikan Tournament.
