Savage grandma's diary entry is basically the 1925 version of 'don't trust men'
Apparently people in the early 1900s were just as salty about dating as people are now.
@_ellaroberts tweeted this photo from her great-grandmother's diary.
The note, written in 1925, says:
Brutal, Grandma.

Which, as Ella pointed out, is basically a vintage version of "men are trash" and "trust women."
Not as far as I know looool, I think it was more a message about friendship 😊

While the bold statement bought some divisive replies to the thread, some users encouraged men not to take it personally. As @georgiamay2041 said, "Its just a sentiment as all women have had at least one negative experience with a male."And other applauded Ella's grandmother for both her strong opinions and great rhymes.
To all the guys getting overly sensitive about this. Relax. Its just a sentiment as all women have had at least one negative experience with a male. Tho, you could always try to become better people. There is that too. Tho self-reflection doesn’t seem to be a strong suit. 🤷♀️

If she lived now, Grandma would probably have an amazing SoundCloud.

Words of wisdom from the elderly are always helpful — even if it's cynical advice on dating.
