Savannah man caught on camera dragging gator by its tail with his bare hands
A Savannah man was caught on camera dragging a gator by its tail.
The incident happened in Bowles C. Ford Park.
The video shows Marquell T. White dragging the 7-foot gator by its tail with his bare hands.
“My first reaction was what am I doing out here?” White told WTOC-TV.

He said he didn’t want anyone to get blindsided and attacked by the gator.
“It was a healthy fear. I respected the power I knew the gator had,” White said.
White said the city of Savannah needs to do a better job of maintaining the park’s grass and foliage, so people can see possible danger — like the gator — lurking.
The city of Savannah said it has since mowed the park’s grass.
