Savannah State moves home football game against Kentucky State to Sunday because of hurricane

The Savannah State football team's conference home opener against Kentucky State has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday due to inclement weather forecast for the Savannah area following the arrival of Hurricane Ian.

The host Tigers (2-2 overall, 2-1 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) and the Thorobreds (0-4, 0-1 SIAC) were orginally slated to play at 6 p.m. Saturday at T.A. Wright Stadium.

All tickets for the NCAA Division II football game will be honored on Sunday. Game tickets can be purchased at ssuathletics.com/tickets. There will be no charge for parking.

In addition, the SSU volleyball team's match Thursday night with Edward Waters has been postponed until Nov. 2 at 6 p.m.
