Taking stage on the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday, the musician rapped her hit song “My Type” for donations as bystanders recorded and rapped along. For the outing, Saweetie prepped for sunny days in a neon pink bikini top and colorful spandex shorts with a belt bag to match.
The finishing bright touch of her look came in the form of an icy blue sneaker set atop a chunky white midsole. Perfectly made for a workout, Saweetie tapped Jordan Brand for its new Jordan Zoom Trunner Ultimate in the Aqua shade. The sneaker comes equipped with full-length Zoom Air cushioning as well as an extra Zoom Air unit for superior padding, all with a one-piece engineered mesh upper.
The sneaker can still be found in select sizes for $150 at Eastbay as well as on the resale market from $112 to $299 at StockX.
Just last week, the “Tap In” artist teased a new project on Instagram, posing in a bold look with the caption: “guessss what im dropping Friday.”
In the video, Saweetie gave a look at her statement style for the project in monochrome flair; the ensemble included a one-shoulder structured black bralette matched to a 2000s-era skirt. The low-rise number highlighted a ruched waist with a semi-sheer finish.
Low-rise skirts and pants were a common sight decades ago as stars elevated their off-duty attire with bold tank tops and bandeau crop tops amongst other major trends. Saweetie herself decided to accent her retro-chic piece with unmissable snake-inspired gloves and a glittering collar necklace.
As for Saweetie herself, the “Best Friend” rapper’s style repertoire includes everything from sleek designer gowns to trendy oversize T-shirt styles with must-have sneakers.
