Art, please tell us a little about yourself, your family, and when you opened the Saylor Wealth Strategies office in Coshocton.

“I have been married to Melissa Loos Saylor for 32 years. We are the parents of three sons: Josh (Kaitlyn), Chris (Riley) and Matt (Halie). Two grandchildren round out the family currently, Jackson and Kennedy.

Money and concepts have always intrigued me. I began learning about money at an early age from picking strawberries, mowing lawns followed by working on a farm through high school and then for a Fortune 500 company after graduation. On November 4th, 2016, I realized my goal of opening Saylor Wealth Strategies and I have never looked back.”

Why did you decide to open an office in Newcomerstown, and do you have family ties in the village?

“I have always considered Newcomerstown a second hometown. My dad’s side of the family comes from Newcomerstown and my mom’s from the Bakersville area originally. I grew up in the Presbyterian church in Newcomerstown although we lived in West Lafayette. After my parents divorced and my mother later remarried, I attended juniot high school in Newcomerstown for two years.

"With the continued success of our Coshocton location, the time was right to expand our already growing business. We saw a need for this type of service locally, noticing almost zero access to financial services such as ours in the area, and seemed like a good fit strategically.”

Please tell us about the services you offer at Saylor Wealth Strategies.

“We offer a variety of financial services including investments, CDs, Retirement planning, college planning as well as insurance products. At Saylor Wealth Strategies, we focus on educating the clients so they can make informed decisions. We want you to feel knowledgeable, empowered and in control with what is going on with your finances. We educate our clients about different types of products that will work for them, the process, and why you need diverse strategies. We keep your timeframe in mind and never pressure anyone. We want to you be 100% comfortable with your decisions. It’s not about financial products, it’s how you use them. Having a plan makes all the difference!”

When will your Newcomerstown office be open?

“Contractors will begin phase one at the 207 S. Bridge Street location in early September and completion should happen around Christmas. We will then look at phase two which should be finished in early spring. Our current team consisting of myself, Jay Williams, Shayna Shuman, and Ardie Varian are excited to expand our services to Newcomerstown and the surrounding areas and look forward to meeting everyone.”
