SB Adams moves into Plymouth Sectional semifinal with comeback

When Friday's downpour began it looked like South Bend Adams' game against Michigan City and South Central's against South Bend Career Academy would have to be delayed for a third day.

However both games braved the elements and finally got their postseason runs off the tracks.

Here is who won in Friday's high school baseball sectional action.

3A Plymouth Sectional

South Bend Adams 4, Michigan City 3

Two days after its original scheduled date South Bend Adams and Michigan City finally began their postseason runs and it ended up being a classic. Adams scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to complete its comeback win. The Eagles move on to play Plymouth, who beat South Bend Riley earlier in the week, in Saturday's sectional semifinals.

1A South Central Sectional

South Central 25, SB Career Academy 1

Another matchup that was affected by multiple postponements ended in a South Central blowout. The Satellites scored 12 runs in the first inning on their way to a dominant win. They will play LaCrosse, who had a bye, in Saturday's sectional semifinals.

Plymouth Sectional: South Bend Adams vs Plymouth (SF), LaPorte vs Mishawaka (SF)
