SC attempted murder fugitive caught in Gaston County

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A South Carolina fugitive wanted on attempted murder charges was arrested in Gaston County, Gaston County Police announced Friday.

Benjamin Green was arrested Wednesday near Cherryville and is now facing first-degree attempted murder charges.

Officers said Green was located following a tip that was received from a concerned citizen and he was taken into custody around 11 a.m. on Friday.

He was taken into custody without incident and is awaiting extradition back to South Carolina, Gaston County PD said.
