Scam Alert: Wright-Patt Credit Union issues warning on fake text messages targeting customers

Wright-Patt Credit Union has issued a warning about a scam targeting customers through fake text messages.

According to WPCU, the scammer instructs the recipient to click a link to confirm whether or not a large transaction or charge is legitimate.

In the text messages, they use urgent and compelling language to trick members into clicking links in an attempt to steal account and personal information.

WPCU is reminding members that it will never text, call or email you asking for personal or account information.
