Luca Guadagnino is set to direct a Scarface reboot.

The Call Me By Your Name director is attached to develop the project with Universal, Variety reported on Thursday.

The latest version of the script was penned by brothers Joel and Ethan Coen.

Scarface has had two previous on-screen iterations: one in 1932 and the other in 1983.

The latter was directed by Brian de Palma with a screenplay by Oliver Stone, and stars Al Pacino as Tony Montana.

Steven Bauer, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio also star in the 1983 version, which has become a cult classic.
