Everywhere you look, people are coming together to support the frontline workers risking their lives every day during the coronavirus pandemic, whether they’re doctors and nurses providing essential care to those battling severe COVID-19 symptoms, or employees at “essential” businesses who may not have the ability to call out from work or practice social distancing with customers and each other.

From supporting mutual-fund efforts to wearing protective masks in public, to clapping for the hospital shift-change every night, people are showing their appreciation for their fellow community members in plenty of ways. And celebrities have been getting in on the action too, with Instagram posts and appearances on televised specials to show they care.

Now, Scarlett Johansson, Olivia Munn, Blake Shelton, and others are joining CMT for a new star-studded effort, called, CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special. The program will air on CMT, Paramount, Pop TV, and TV Land at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3. Carrie Underwood, Kristen Bell, Tim McGraw, Darius Rucker, Miranda Lambert, Kane Brown, and other major players in the country music space have already committed to appearing on the special. Now, Johansson, Munn, and Shelton are joining icons like Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, and Zac Brown in signing on.

The newly revealed list of stars to join the packed lineup include performers: Brandi Carlile, Brothers Osborne, Darius Rucker, Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt, Tim McGraw and Thomas Rhett, with cameos from Carrie Underwood, Kristen Bell and Lauren Daigle.

The special will likely feature videos filmed at each of the stars’ homes — which means it’s not likely that Shelton and Lambert will face any awkward run-ins. That’s probably for the best, given it will allow the program to keep its spotlight squarely on the front-line workers who need the support most.
