Scattered showers, heavy rain could lead to flooding

Jun. 11—Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible through the evening, with a possibility of local heavy rain and isolated flooding.

Rain chances will trail off a little after dark, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Overnight, the low will fall to around 66 degrees.

It is expected to reach near 90 degrees Saturday, which again will have a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. The overnight low will be around 69 degrees. A few isolated showers are possible into Sunday morning.

Skies will be mostly sunny, but it won't be as hot Sunday with highs around 86 degrees. There is only a slight chance of afternoon showers and storms on Sunday. Skies stay mostly clear at night, with overnight lows falling to around 62 degrees.
