Legendary Texas songwriter and entertainer Robert Earl Keen will wrap up 41 years on the road with his 2022 final tour, “I’m Comin’ Home: 41 Years On The Road.”

The band is credited with instigating the Riot Grrrl movement in the early ’90s via their political lyrics, zines and confrontational live show.

Art Studios of Grace: 6-8 p.m. Friday Artwalk event featuring Gia Gelpi from La Selva Art Studios and her after-school Maker’s Class end-of-the-year art show. Civic Media Center: 6-9 p.m. Friday Artwalk event featuring GNV Zine Fest. Zines are little booklets that anyone can make. A “do it yourself” art form, zines can be written, drawn, collaged or all of the above. The only limit is the artists’ own creativity. Gainesville Opportunity Center: 7-10 p.m. Friday Artwalk event featuring Ellie Smith, a young digital artist. Recently she has been commissioned for character designs and game illustrations for an up-and-coming video game, “Nocturnal Souls.” She also has worked for painting with a twist helping people learn how to paint. Smith’s work has been placed in Tresses salon in Melrose, Watson’s Realty Co., and the Santa Fe Art Gallery. These programs are curated by the MakerSpace team to encourage discovery, experimentation and hands-on learning with beginner-friendly technology. Inventors from ages 5 to adults can learn how to write code and engineer contraptions with pocket-sized computers, STEM kits, building straws and more. Future events will be held June 26, July 10, July 24, Aug. 14 and Aug. 28.
