Scenic Highway head-on collision leaves one critical, one seriously injured

One man was left in critical condition while another was left seriously injured after a head-on collision late Thursday afternoon on Scenic Highway in Escambia County.

At approximately 4:05 p.m., a 51-year-old Dozier, Alabama, man was traveling north on Scenic Highway in a pickup truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. At the same time, a 64-year-old Pensacola man was traveling south on Scenic Highway in a sedan.

The driver of the pickup truck failed to maintain his proper lane and collided head-on with the sedan. Both drivers were transported to the hospital with the Pensacola man suffering serious injuries and the Alabama man suffering critical injuries.
