Schedule is full of events throughout July in the Irish Hills

The Jackson District Library Bookmobile will be visiting the Senior Lunch Center at 300 Mill St. in Norvell Township the first Wednesday of the month. The next visit will be today from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Brooklyn Presbyterian Church is holding Kids Camp from 9 a.m. to noon each Wednesday in July for kindergarten through eighth grade students. Children will enjoy activities, songs and science experiments. Brooklyn Presbyterian Church is at 160 N. Main St. in Brooklyn.

McCourtie Park has a farmers market every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Oct. 1. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, call Somerset Township at 517-688-9223.

Region 2 Area Agency on Aging has a Cancer PATH workshop via Zoom coming up. The Wednesday evening series is from 5 to 7:30 p.m. July 13 to Aug. 17, and the Wednesday afternoon series is from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Aug. 24 through Sept. 28. Learn how to deal with difficult emotions, live with uncertainty, get better sleep, manage pain and fatigue, eat healthier, manage stress, stay active and more. The Manitou Beach Farmers Market will be open from 8:30 a.m. to noon each Saturday through September. Enjoy fresh produce, flowers, homemade baked/canned goods and handmade crafts. On Saturday, July 9, there will be a Nautical Flea Market featuring lake items like water toys, boats, décor, fishing gear and more. Celebrate the East Coast Traditional Lobster Fest 2022 at Greenleaf Mansion. This special cooking demonstration class will teach you how to cook and prepare a fresh, live, 1½-pound Maine lobster plus how to get every ounce of meat from the shell. Learn the secret to making authentic New England clam chowder. Reservations only by calling 517-467-6620 by July 12. This class is instructed by Chef Diane Newell.

The Irish Hills Eagles have the following specials coming up: Today, they are offering $1 coney dogs for members only, beginning at 11 a.m. On Friday, July 8, they will have footlong coneys with fries and the choice of root beer floats or Boston coolers for $7 from 5 to 7 p.m., and the public is welcome. They are also holding an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon, Sunday, July 10. Adults are $7 and children younger than 10 are only $3. The public is welcome.  On Tuesday, July 12, they will have taco supreme for members only. The Eagles are at 9500 Wamplers Lake Road in Brooklyn.

Savanna Rose Studio will be holding classes this summer called Super-Star Summer Dance Blast for four days, Monday, July 11, to Thursday, July 14, for children ages 2½ and older. Register online at savannarosedancestudio.com for creative dance, ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, competition and more.
