The Jacksonville Jaguars have high hopes heading into the 2022 season, looking to improve from its three-win season in 2021. Last year's No. 1 overall pick, Trevor Lawrence, looks to improve in his second season, while this year's No. 1 overall pick, Travon Walker, looks to make an impact on the defensive side of the ball.

Add in budding stars like defensive end Josh Allen, running backs James Robinson and Travis Etienne, and new head coach Doug Pederson, and things seem to be going in the right direction for the franchise.

During the past few weeks the Times-Union has brought you all sorts of reporting on the Jaguars leading into the season. Here's a look at all our good work to help you catch up before kickoff on Sept. 11.

Doug Pederson, a Super Bowl winner, is the Jaguars' new head coach

Pederson and former coach Urban Meyer are two completely different personalities. Meyer was a high-stress control freak while Pederson is more laid back and reliant on the experience of his assistant coaches. Pederson wasn't away from coaching long. He sat one year before seeing the right opportunity and taking the Jaguars job.

What is the Jacksonville Jaguars' schedule?

On a 17-game schedule, the Jaguars only have seven games at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville. With the uneven number of games, a team will have eight home games one year and nine the next. However, the Jaguars are the host for a London game against Denver, which takes away a game from Jacksonville. They essentially have 10 road trips this year.

Predictions for the NFL in 2022: How many games will the Jaguars win?

Jacksonville reached a franchise-low one win in 2020. They rebounded for three wins last year, so if they can get four or more wins in 2022, they'll have completed a third year in a row of record improvement.

How will Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence do in his second season?

Trevor Lawrence's rookie season was seen as somewhat of a bust. While his total passing yards of 3,641 wasn't all that bad, the 12 touchdowns to 17 interceptions was. Because of the dysfunction surrounding Meyer and his coaching staff that largely lacked NFL experience, Lawrence was given a pass. Things may not be as kind in 2022 if his struggles continue.
