Schnucks warns consumers about possible allergen in mixed nuts at its grocery stores

Schnucks Markets has issued an allergy alert on select Culinaria Nut Mixes sold in its grocery stores because they may contain undeclared almonds, an allergen for some people.

Because of mislabeled packaging, the supermarket chain’s Culinaria Cashew and Macadamia Mix may contain almonds and its Culinaria Cashew and Almond Mix may not contain all of the ingredients listed on the package.

Schnucks customers are urged to check for:

  • Culinaria Cashew & Macadamia Mix: 9 oz. packages with the UPS code 4131822428; best by date 2/02/25; and lot code 3033 A9.

  • Culinaria Cashew & Almond Mix: 9 oz. packages with the UPS code 4131822423; best by date 2/02/25; and lot code 3033 A9.

The affected products may be returned to the nearest Schnucks store for a full refund or exchange, according to the alert.

Schnucks is a grocery-store chain based in St. Louis, with multiple locations in metro-east communities in Illinois.
