Scholarships awarded to Delaware County high school graduates

MUNCIE, Ind. — Local students have received college scholarships in advance of the 2022-23 academic year.

The Liberty-Perry Alumni Association warded four scholarships to graduating seniors at Wapahani High School:

The 2022 Alyssa Anne Couch Scholarship winner is Hailey Elizabeth Hagaman, daughter of Karl Hagaman and Elisha Weaver. She plans to major in speech language pathology at Ball State University.

The 2022 Selma Bluebirds Memorial Scholarship and the 2022 Morton A. Lambert Scholarship were awarded to Isaac Xiang Shreve, son of Brett and Nancy Shreve. He will be attending Ball State University to major in computer science.

The 2022 Wapahani Alumni Scholarship winner is Emma Stanley, daughter of Michael and Cherrie Stanley. She will be attending Ball State University to receive an undergraduate degree in pre-medicine.

The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County announced recipients of some of the scholarships it administers:

Perrin Belcher, a graduating senior from Cowan Junior-Senior High School, is a recipient of the Max V. Creviston and Nellie Cathrine Creviston Scholarship. He plans to study mechanical engineering at Anderson University. He is the son of Lenroy and Andrea Royer.

Cade Brinson, a graduating senior from Cowan Junior-Senior High School, is a recipient of the Nicholas Brooks Sherfy Memorial Scholarship. He plans to study agribusiness at Vincennes University. He is the son of Del and Jayne Brinson.

Keaton Ferrell, a graduating senior from Daleville Junior-Senior High School, is a recipient of the Michele Barnhart Hires Scholarship and the Kathleen Rozelle-Camplin Scholarship. He plans to study finance at Indiana University. He is the son of Julie Ferrell and Jeremy Ferrell.

Alysa Fields, a graduating senior from Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Yorktown Lions Club Scholarship. She plans to study nursing at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Mike and Jane Allerton.

Maya Harty, a graduating senior from Cowan Junior-Senior High School, is a recipient of the Max V. Creviston and Nellie Cathrine Creviston Scholarship and the eKeeper Systems Unparalleled Excellence Scholarship. She plans to study physics and Spanish at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Stephen and Wendi Harty.

Emily McClure, a graduating senior from Burris Laboratory School, is a recipient of the Burris Class of 1949 Angie Wilson Scholarship. She plans to study elementary education at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Amy and Michael McClure.

Alexandra Rogers, a graduating senior from Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Adam Cline Scholarship. She plans to study marketing and business management at Indiana University. She is the daughter of Rick and Elizabeth Rowray.

Micayla Vecchiolli-Morris, a graduating senior from Muncie Central High School, is a recipient of the Muncie Southside Spirit Scholarship. She plans to study acting at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Misty and Jackson Cole and Mo and Melissa Morris.
