Mar. 5—The law firm of Bingaman, Hess, Coblentz & Bell is offering two need-based scholarships of $1,000 each to qualifying high school seniors enrolled in any Berks County public school.
The Bingaman Hess Scholarship is available to applicants who enroll in any two- or four-year accredited institution in any course of study. The deadline to apply is May 1.

Grange offers
Pennsylvania State Grange members have the opportunity to receive educational assistance through several Pennsylvania Grange Foundation scholarship and loan programs this spring.
The program is intended to promote studies in agriculture and related fields, which will further support rural communities and bolster local Grange chapters.

The Pennsylvania State Grange Foundation Scholarship is available to students entering their junior or senior year in college, and financial need must be demonstrated. Applicants are eligible to apply for a $500 scholarship each year, for a maximum of two years. Up to four scholarships will be awarded.
Applicants for the Deaf Interpreter Scholarship must be enrolled in a credible program leading to certification as an interpreter for the deaf. The Grange will award a $250 grant each year.

The $1,500 Grange Scholarship Endowment at Penn State University recognizes the outstanding work of an undergraduate student enrolled in their sophomore, junior or senior year at any Penn State campus and demonstrates financial need. The recipient will be selected by the Penn State Office of Student Aid Scholarship Committee from nominees named by a Grange panel.
The Rhone Grant is available to students pursuing a degree in agriculture or human development and family services at Penn State. One $300 scholarship will be available each year. Eligible candidates must be a Grange member in good standing and secure a recommendation from both the Master of their Subordinate and Pomona Granges.
Santee Student Loans are available to Grange members or their children as long as they are a full-time student at any institution accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Selected students will be required to sign a promissory note to receive the $2,000 interest-free loan.
Aviation scholarships
The Aviation Council of Pennsylvania is offering scholarships of $1,000 or more to state residents seeking careers in aviation technology and management and flying aircraft.
Applicant may be enrolled in a two — or four-year college program, a master's degree program, a flight training program or an aviation technology program.
Scholarship applications must be received or postmarked by July 7.
