The Cleveland County Board of Education has decided to sell another piece of property.

At its regularly scheduled January meeting, the board voted unanimously to sell a house located in Grover for $132,000 to Thomas Chris Keeter.

The house was sold through a bid process, with Keeter as the highest bidder and no upset bids placed after the board accepted the offer.

The house, located in a residential area near Grover Elementary School, was previously used as a pre-kindergarten class. The pre-k programs have since moved out of the house, and it is no longer being used by the school system.

The home is one of two properties the board voted to sell last week. A father and son placed a $750,000 bid on the old Central School building in Kings Mountain.

That bid has since been upset. On Thursday, someone placed a $825,000 bid on the property, according to the Cleveland County Schools website. The website does not say who placed the upset bid.

On Monday, the price for the old school rose again, as the highest bid jumped to $886,300.
