Here are the key dates for districts in the Tri-County Independent coverage area.

First day of school

Carbondale Area School District: Aug. 29

Delaware Valley School District: Aug. 28

North Pocono School District: Aug. 28

Wallenpaupack Area School District: Sept. 5

Wayne Highlands School District: Aug. 28

Carbondale: Thanksgiving falls on Nov. 23, and students have an early dismissal on Nov. 22 before being off Nov. 23 through Nov. 27.

North Pocono: Students have an early dismissal on Nov. 22 before being off Nov. 23 through Nov. 27.
