Schreefel wins $100K for first LPGA hole-in-one

DALY CITY, California (AP) — Dutchwoman Dewi Claire Schreefel has won $100,000 for her hole-in-one at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic.

Schreefel aced the 157-yard 12th hole with a 7-iron Sunday at Lake Merced Golf Club, earning her the prize money from China Trust Bank. She joked it was her biggest check of the year, then told herself while walking up No. 18, "Wow, that's worth more than a car."

The 28-year-old Schreefel had just her second hole-in-one lifetime and first on the LPGA Tour. She shot a 1-under 71 in the final round for a 4-over 292 total.

There was a second hole-in-one Sunday by Jimin Kang on the 164-yard third. She didn't identify the club she used before departing.
