SCHS Column: Hobie enjoys company and prancing around

Sep. 1—After getting a chance to see this dog a few weeks earlier at the pool party in Marlow, this week we got a close and personal invitation to see Hobie, who enjoyed company and prancing around the office.

Hobie, from the Stephens County Humane Society, is two years and one month old and is considered an Australian shepherd / Labrador Retriever. He has a handsome black and white coat that showed off really well.

With the pool trip a couple of weeks ago and then the rain that came yesterday, you could tell that anything that deals with water is something that Hobie absolutely loves.

This was evident as we walked into the office. He ran through all of the puddles from the rain storms and continued to enjoy himself all the way to the backdoor entrance of our office.

Upon entering the office, Hobie seemed eager to find new people and greet them. A few people realized how handsome he was and loved the way he pranced around.

We had several guests picking up the new Stephens County Gridiron Guide (hey, you should grab a copy) and other businesses commented on how well behaved our guest for this week was.

Those weren't the only compliments that our guest Hobie received as everyone realized this great dog had a good demeanor.

Heading over to our friends at R&S Drug, they tried to give treats, however I think Hobie much preferred human food as he gobbled up cheeseburgers and later took a piece of some chicken.

Hobie was a real treat. We believe that he will make a forever partner and a great addition to any family.
