SCHS Column: Lindsay longing for someone special to call her own

Feb. 16—Another special pup pranced her way into The Duncan Banner ever so gracefully, full of smiles and love to share, which was the perfect Valentine's Day present for us on Take Out Tuesday this week.

Lindsay, a two-year-old pointer mixed breed, visited as our guest this week from the Stephens County Humane Society (SCHS). This sweet girl dawns a soft white coat with a few brown accents and one beauty mark close to her right eye.

Lindsay's sweet personality makes her a superb pup to pal around with. This young girl will follow you where ever you lead, showing off her amazing leash skills by taking a walk outside or by giving gentle cuddles and laying by your side.

According to the SCHS, Lindsay sports her name with grace. She was found roaming in a rural area in Lindsay, Oklahoma.

As part of a routine visit with The Banner Staff, Lindsay took her own bites out of her cheeseburger lunch gently and delicately.

During her adventure out, Lindsay made the weekly trek over to R&S Drug to meet some new friends, where she wasted no time to enjoy a "puppuccino" snack and pass out a few hugs.

Although car rides tend to make our sweet friend a little nervous, once she sets all four paws on solid ground and gathers her bearings, Lindsay is a permanent friend.

Lindsay is available for immediate adoption at SCHS. To inquire about Lindsay or our previous guests Phoenix or December, or any of the other dogs, or to set up an appointment, call 580-252-7387 between the hours of noon-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday have extended hours until 6 p.m. SCHS is currently closed on Sundays.
