"I think it is difficult to think about this right now. Obviously, we still have 96 points I think to give away so obviously everything is open. The top six in the championship still could win the championship. So, everything is open and for me it is really important just to keep my focus, to keep improving myself to keep learning and to just go for it."

If we qualify well, obviously everything probably looks better than if we are P19. So our goal is to just focus on ourselves, to try to build the best car possible around myself, try obviously work as well as we did in the car in the last couple of races with the team and then just go for it."

"I think that in general obviously it would have been great to get out there, drive in front of the German fans and everybody, but what I have taken from the weekend is the knowledge, being able to attend to the meetings, being able to also see how an F1 driver, today's F1 driver kind of works and obviously with COVID it has been quite different, and that has also been interesting to see."

STORY: Mick Schumacher can clinch the F2 world championship this weekend, a triumph that will sit well on his CV as he bids to follow his father into Formula One.

The 21-year-old German - son of seven-times Formula One world champion Michael - has a 22-point lead going into the final two race weekends of the season, which will both take place in Bahrain.

But with two feature races and two sprint races still to come, as well as rewards for poles and fastest laps, 96 points are still up for grabs, leaving at least six drivers in with a chance of the championship.

Unlike in Formula One where Lewis Hamilton has dominated, there have been 11 different winners across 10 race weekends so far, with Schumacher picking up two wins and his closest rival, Callum Ilott, three.

But Schumacher has been the most consistent driver, with 10 podium finishes for his Prema Powerteam.

Part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, Schumacher was due to take part in practice at the Eifel Grand Prix in Germany earlier this year for Alfa Romeo Racing, but bad weather meant the session was cancelled. He also drove his father's 2004 Ferrari before the main race at the Italian Grand Prix in September.
