NFS visits several schools across the Tri-Cities region during the year. The company works to prepare the next generation of workers for increasingly demanding technical careers.

NFS Process Engineer Reagan Tell said that it’s important to teach youth the importance of STEM education.

“It’s a big future ahead of us because there’s always going to be an engineering need,” Tell said. “Even with technology transitioning the way that it is, there’s always going to be a need.”

NFS’ parent company, BWXT Technologies, Inc. is based in Lynchburg, Virginia, but NFS is located in Erwin, Tennessee.
