BASEBALL

Division III

Scituate 12, Hope 0

John David O'Hara pitched a no-hitter (5 innings due to the 10-run rule) with 12 strikeouts and teammate Jackson Scanlon was 3-for-3 with a walk and 4 RBI as the Spartans rolled to victory over the Blue Wave.

SOFTBALL

Division I

Cumberland 4, Bay View 2

Reilly Austin belted two home runs and drove in three and Jill Ryone threw a complete-game four-hitter as the Clippers improved to 2-1 by doubling up on Bay View. Bella Waycott and Sarah Trosin supplied the only offense for the Bengals with back-to-back solo homeruns in the fourth inning.

BOYS LACROSSE

Division I

Portsmouth 14, Mount St. Charles 8

Owen Cianciolo fired in six goals and assisted on four others and Shane Temple and Robert Mairs each notched a two tallies as the Patriots won their first game of the season after three losses. Pat Murphy scored four goals and Tanner Morgan had two for the Mount, now 0-4.

Nonleague

Toll Gate 17, Mt. Hope 4

Cooper Grossguth scored 7 goals and added 2 assists and teammate Jacob Pickering had five tallies with an assist as the Division II Titans dominated the Division III Huskies.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Division I

Prout 14, Portsmouth 4

Sylvia Mayo scored 3 goals and had 5 assists, Ela Niedelman found the back of the net 4 times with 1 assist and Sarah Mayo scored two goals and added three helpers as Prout got by Portsmouth. Goaltender Kennedy George had 12 saves to pick up the win. Caitlyn Roche and Sophia Sebolt each had hattricks for the Crusaders in the loss.
