Scooter crash victim identified as 80-year-old woman from Falmouth

WEST FALMOUTH — Christine Laurie, 80, of Falmouth was killed in a crash between an SUV and moped-style scooter Wednesday afternoon.
Falmouth police and fire rescue responded to a crash at 4:08 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of West Falmouth Highway and Chapoquoit Road, Falmouth Police Lt. Douglas Decosta said in a statement.
nullLaurie, who was operating the scooter, sustained fatal injuries in the crash.

Jane Liberfarb, 68 of Newton, was the driver of the SUV, according to Falmouth police. She remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said in a press release.
The crash remains under investigation by the Falmouth Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section.
