Scooter-riding food delivery driver killed in Queens collision

A scooter-riding food delivery worker died in a collision with a car at a Queens intersection Friday, police and sources said.

The 31-year-old victim was riding south on 43rd St. in Sunnyside when he made a U-turn at Skillman Ave. just before 5:30 p.m., police said.

As the scooter was in the midst of its U-turn, it was struck by a 2014 Chevrolet sedan heading north on 43rd St., cops and sources said.

Medics rushed the scooter operator to Elmhurst Hospital, where he died.

The driver of the Chevrolet stayed on the scene, police said.

Police are still investigating the crash.
